Meet our Staff

Hi, I’m Tori Spencer, a mom of 4, grandma to 7 beautiful boys, and the owner of That Sewing Place. I taught kids sewing classes in my home for several years and really loved it and wanted to open a real sewing school some day. My husband and I are so happy to be Payson residents and to be bringing the vital skill of sewing to the community.

When we were building our original Arizona sewing school in 2020, we knew that sewing and other homemaking skills had become very lost arts. We have all been loving the chance to dig up these skills and make them part of our everyday lives once again. That’s exactly what That Sewing Place is here for! So come on over to our new Payson, Utah location and let our judgement-free team show you how fun and rewarding these skills can truly be. Like us, everyone has to start somewhere and now is the time.

Hi, I'm Andrea Finau, co-owner of That Sewing Place and a passionate sewing instructor. I have two little boys who keep me on my toes and occasionally make appearances at our sewing classes. Before entering the world of sewing education, I spent nine years as an elementary school teacher, where I developed a love for helping others learn new skills and build confidence.

After becoming a stay-at-home mom, I discovered the perfect way to combine my teaching experience with my passion for sewing. My mom and I worked together to open the original That Sewing Place in Arizona, which was in operation for 5 years until moving to Payson. Today, I enjoy helping students of all ages learn to sew in a fun, supportive, and encouraging environment. I love watching students grow their creativity and confidence with every project they complete.

Teaching has always been at the heart of what I do, and I'm grateful to share that passion every day at That Sewing Place here in Utah.
