Upcycled Hoodie

Tuesdays starting January 20 | 10 am | 4 weeks | $120

Students will provide materials for this project

Beginner Friendly AND Upcycle Friendly! Turn a thrifted quilt into a one-of-a-kind cozy hoodie! In this hands-on class, you’ll learn how to deconstruct vintage or secondhand quilts or woven textiles, create a custom pattern layout, and sew a stylish, sustainable garment from reclaimed materials. Perfect for sewers with basic sewing skills or seasoned makers looking for a creative upcycling project. Leave with a unique, wearable piece—and the confidence to transform textiles in new ways!

Too Cool T-Shirt Quilt

Tuesdays starting April 14 | 6:30 pm | 4 weeks | $100

Students will provide their own shirts and stabilizer for this project

Requires many t-shirts, depending on the overall size of the graphics on your shirts.  Plan on about 18-25 to start.

This standard T-shirt quilt will focus just on your shirts and graphics.  It's an awesome puzzle style quilt with a colorful border.    There will be some homework during the first week or so, but you should be able to finish the entire quilt in the class, ready to take to a long-arm quilter for finishing.

Finished size will vary for each person!

Alterations and Clothing Repair

Tuesdays starting March 24 | 10 am | 3 weeks | $90

In this practical sewing class you’ll gain invaluable skills in altering and repairing clothing, including techniques to resize garments, replace buttons and zippers, mend tears, hem pants and skirts, and so much m0re! You’ll become more confident in transforming and preserving your wardrobe with your newfound sewing abilities.

Clothing items will be provided to practice with, and students can also bring their own items in need of repair!
